Misty River is performing five reunion concerts in Oregon and SW Washington in April, June and July 2013. These are the only five performances planned for 2013, so get your tickets now! The band's first show will be at the Old Liberty Theater in Ridgefield, Washington April 27. In June, Misty River will perform in Portland, Corvallis and Eugene, Oregon. The band will also appear at the Wheeler County Bluegrass Festival in Fossil, Oregon July 6, 2013. Misty River is making live recordings of our "Farewell for Now" shows. Professional filmmaker Spence Palermo will film our concerts this weekend in Eugene 6/3 and Umpqua 6/5, and audio engineers Chris Bergstrom and Dale Adkins will record our concerts next weekend in Bend 6/10 and Ridgefield 6/11 (sold out) & 6/12. We hope after a little mixing and editing we’ll have some video and audio recordings to share with you, including some of the unrecorded songs you have been asking for over the past several years. After fourteen years and five CDs, Misty River is planning to take a break from performing and recording starting this July. We hope you will come out and see us during our last run of shows for 2011. Will we perform again after that? The real answer is we don’t know. We love singing harmony together, and that desire may bring us back for some concerts down the road, but starting this summer, we are going to let ourselves prioritize other aspects of our lives. It is a difficult decision, but one that will be good for all of us. To all our faithful friends and fans, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! For those of you who missed the live webstream of Misty River's "Harmony for the Holidays" concert with Doug Smith in December 2010, you can still watch a recording of it at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/misty-river-in-concert. Just click on the words "Misty River Egan Warming Center" below one of the two pictures at the bottom left corner of the screen (one for each half of the concert), wait for it to load, and then put up with a 10-second commercial before the concert kicks in. The volume is a bit low at the beginning, but improves about 18 minutes into the show. We hope you enjoy it!
